Verizon on the Galaxy Nexus: “Verizon will not release a device until our highest standards have been met.”
Word on the street is the Galaxy Nexus is ready to do. Verizon, Best Buy, and Radio Shack stores supposedly have them ready to go and just waiting for the word to take our credit cards. Is it because of a software glitch or something to do with Google Wallet? Nobody is certain, but The Verge is reporting that a Verizon rep said his store recieved the following statement from Verizon:
“Rigorous device testing is part of our commitment to our customers. Verizon will not release a device until our highest standards have been met. We’ll announce the launch of the Galaxy Nexus by Samsung as soon as it’s available.”
Take it with a grain of salt because it doesn’t give us any insight on when this baby is going to drop. Our latest rumor is this Thursday, but until Verizon makes this public, any statement from an “insider” means nothing.
